Scripture: Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.”
Observations: In Exodus, the tabernacle continues to be furnished, and the ark was prepared. In Acts, Peter had to defend why he went to the home of a Gentile.
Application: I heard on a podcast today how a black hole has been found in the Milky Way and that it is swallowing the stars around it. The speaker stated that God’s creation is overwhelmingly complex and amazing. So when I read this passage, I found myself thinking of a starlit night, and then of a day of puffy clouds, and a beautiful pink and orange sunrise, or a sunset over the ocean. Creation Is absolutely, overwhelmingly amazing and beautiful.
Prayer: Father God, I stand in awe of your creation tonight. It is so perfect. Yes, man has corrupted it, but still it is full of your beauty. Lord, never let me take it for granted. Never let me overlook your handiwork. Thank you Lord for caring enough about us to beautify your creation. From the small plant in the ground to the magnificent towering mountains that are more majestic than any manmade cathedral…I thank you Lord. For every creek and river and lake and sea and ocean, I thank you Lord. I praise you for all your wonderful greatness. Amen.
