Scripture: Acts 10:34-35 “34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. “
Observations: In Exodus we read about the building of the tabernacle. It amazes me that the people, who were wanderers in the desert, brought so much to be used in the making of the tabernacle that they had to be turned away. They were NOT travelling light. In Acts, we have the story of God showing Peter than there is no such thing as unclean as long as God has blessed it.
Application: All my life, I’ve dealt with favoritism of one form or another. Teacher’s pets, Mom’s favorite, Dad’s favorite, etc. Isn’t it amazing to know that the Lord, God, our creator doesn’t show favoritism. He accepts anyone who does what is right and treats him with the reverence He so richly deserves.
Prayer: Father, God, you own everything. We own nothing. You love everyone of us, great and small, rich and poor. Thank you for your fairness. Thank you for being just. Thank you for leaving us a play book, so we know how to please You. We praise you! We adore you! We worship you! We glorify Thy Great Name! Amen
