I know you are tired...

Scripture:  Galatians 6:9-10  “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.  So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”

Observations:  Deuteronomy 28 was all about blessings and curses.  One observation is that there are many more curses than blessings.  However, the blessings are MUCH better than the curses.  In chapter 29, Moses renews a covenant between God and the people.  This too was full of curses for disobedience.  It is much better to live for the Lord than against him.

Application:  I was thinking tonight of how weary different people seem.  Some are weary from the toil.  I’ve seen many posts from nursing home attendants, nurses, even grocery store workers about how weary they are.  I’ve seen people post about how weary they are of being shut up.  I wonder, who have you reached out to with an encouraging word, or helps during this time of trial?  I see people sending notes.  I see people making masks and delivering groceries.  Let us do good, while the time to do good is upon us.  Yes, we may grow weary, but it is all for a good cause.  Help our brothers and sisters.

Prayer:  Father God, we have such a time as this to reach out and help others.  Don’t allow us to ignore these times.  Don’t allow these times to slip through our fingers.  Give us direction and guide us to that person who needs encouragement.  Show us where our talents can be used to your glory.  Amen.
